Cervical Disc Disease and Cervical Spondylosis Cervical slip disc presents with neck pain and with nerve compression produces sharp current like pain in arm forearm and sometimes in upper back. Neck pain and arm pain can become severe enough to disturb sleep and a few patients are not even able to lie down. The cause of Cervical slip disc is usually wrong posture and lack of excercises. Treatment is initially medicines, physiotherapy and rest. A few cases who don't improve need Surgery. 42 year old male had severe neck and arm pain for last 15 days. His MRI showed slip disc at C56 with nerve compression. He did not improve with non operative treatment and underwent Cervical Spine Surgery - ACDF i.e discectomy and fusion. His pain improved immediately after surgery and was back to his job as Driver in 2 months.
