Lumbar Canal Stenosis A 74 year old presented to us with severe radiating pain since last 4 days. Pain was unbearable starting from buttocks to leg. She was not able to sit stand or walk even for few seconds. Her MRI showed L45 stenosis with disc and nerve compression. She had been taking medicines for last 4 days without any releif. Looking at her age and symptoms she was offered Epidural block/ Selective Nerve root block ( SNRB). SNRB is a day care procedure done under local anaesthesia in Operation theathre. With help of Xray machine Dye is injected around the nerve . Once proper needle placement is confirmed , Medications are injected. This patient had significant releif after injection and her symptoms gradually resolved.
