Scoliosis Surgery- Congenital kyphoscoliosis This 12 year old year old girl from Kyrgyzstan presented to us with complaints of the Deformity of back. IT was noticed few years back and it was gradually progressive and causing significant cosmetic deformity. Her spinal cord showe significant fusion bar at the apex of deformity. The cobb angle was under 110 degree with significant Kyphosis. She underwent deformity correction surgery at Jaypee Hospital Noida by Dr Pramod Saini senior consultant spine surgeon surgeon. Surgery included doing multi level ponte ostetomy with Pedicle screw fixation under neuromoniting. Use of neuro monitoring increases the safety of the surgery as it give us real time data about any spinal cord compression. The aim of surgery was cosmetic correction with 50 to 70% correction of rib hump and scoliosis correction. this was achieved. The patient was kept in ICU for 2 days and discharge after 5 days postoperative correction was significant and satisfactory.
