TLIF or Spinal Fusion for Spondylolisthesis Spinal fusion is done for patients in who have instability on X Ray or if decompression will result in instability. These patients present wth Back pain with leg & Buttock pain. MRI Spine Usually shows slippage of one vertebra over other known as Spondylolisthesis alon with Disc herniation or Slip disc with Nerve Compression. Fusion is done by both open and MIS techniques. In this surgery , Titanium Screws are placed into the Vertebral bodies and they are connected by rods. Disc is replaced by an artificial spacer which is either made of PEEK or Titanium filled with bone graft. Patient is Mobilised from Next day. Majority of the patients they go back to their normal life within 3 months. Presenting here a case of 45 year old patient female whose MRI Spine showed Nerve compression with Spondylolisthesis at L5S1. She underwent two level Fusion surgery and she was completely pain free after the surgery and was discharged after 2 days.
