Tuberculosis of Spine/TB spine or Potts spine This patient from azamgarh presented to us in last year February with complaints of baack pain and weakness in legs.She was not able to stand or walk properly and needed support. Her Back pain was so severe that she needed support. Her MRI at that time showed Vertebral destruction with spinal cord compression and cord edema. She underwent dorsal laminectomy and fixation. Biopsy confirmed it to be tuberculosis of spine. She was started on ATT and physiotherapy. At 1 year follow up she is completely painfree and walking independently. Her MRI showed complete resolution of infection. Tuberculosis of spine responds very well to Anti tubercular medicines with a few cases with progressive weakness needing surgery.
